1) Viktor Alexandrovich Lyapkalo, born in Uchta, Russian SFSR (now Komi Republic) on September 18, 1956 to Present (age 65), is a Russian and Soviet painter.
2) He graduated in 1978 from the Art School of Saratov. From 1979 to 1987 he studied at the Saint Petersburg Academy of Arts and had as teachers Vladimir Gorb and Viktor Reichet.
3) He graduated from this institute, completing the work White Night as part of his undergraduate studies. Since the '80s he has lived & worked in St. Petersburg, & is a member of the Union of Artists.
4) He works in the genres of portrait, landscape and nude model painting. Over the last years he has been working on erotic subject matter. It allows him to touch upon the rich realm of human emotion.
5) Explicit in his representation of sexual subjects, Lyapkalo paints the nude female body more often than anything else. He presents it boldly, not to say frivolously.
6) Because of his bold painting style, his love for vivid color and large form, Viktor Lyapkalo's works are filled with the feeling of joy and fullness of life.
